Sóller
One of the towns which is worth a mention is Sóller, a town in the Tramuntana mountains where our hotel is located as well as a beautiful port.
This destinatiom is the cultural and commercial centre in the Tramuntana mountains. In recent years it has become one of the most desired towns by tourists when they come to Majorca. Watching the sunset in this beautiful town is a real treat.
Additionally, Sóller has a beautiful, traditional wooden train built at the beginning of the 20th century. The train takes about an hour from Palma to Sóller.
Once you reach the town, there are many incredible places to visit, such as the ‘Plaza de la Constitución’ and ‘Can Prunera’, a building which is home to different pieces of art by well-known artists.
The streets will catch your attention because of the cobbles. If you come to Sóller, you need to see the beautiful orange-coloured stone houses. Walking around the Sóller streets is really worth it!
The Port of Sóller is an ideal place to freshen up on one of its wonderful beaches or to go out for dinner in one of its restaurants. The Capgros viewpoint is an incredible spot to see the port from.
If you are looking the best routes, there are excursions to places like ‘Torrent de Pareis’ or ‘Torre Picada’, where you will find spectacular views of the area.
Deià
This beautiful village has around 800 habitants. It stands out for its cementery and church, which is located at the top of the village, and from here you can appreciate the lovely views of the sea and mountains.
For many years, Deià has been home to many artists. This beautiul majorcan village is known for its quiet, welcoming and bohemian atmosphere. You must walk around the village and enjoy its stone houses, steep streets and mountain views.
After enjoying all the beauty of the village, there is a cove called ‘Cala Deia‘,which is a small rocky cove famous for its crystal clear waters.
For those who are looking to do excursions, Deià is a village where you will find many different hiking routes. If we need to highlight one it would be ‘Sa Foradada’, a small headland with one of the most beautiful viewpoint in Majorca.
Valldemossa
You can start to appreciate the beauty of Valldemossa from the road. This wonderful village surrounded by mountains, is located in a valley in the middle of the Tramuntana mountains. Valldemossa is full of cobbled streets and magical spots. It looks like a medieval village.
Valldemossa is distinguised by its stoned houses, many of which were built in the 13th century. Among the most visited monuments are the ‘Real Cartuja’, Chopin museum, the King Juan Carlos gardens and the San Bartomeu church.
Pollensa
In the town of Pollensa you can see many different places which are worth a visit. For example Pollensa’s old town, the ‘Plaza Mayor’, Pollensa’s museum or the ‘Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ church. These are a must visit and really wonderful.
Once you have seen the beautiful town of Pollensa, it is time to visit the port. The Port of Pollensa is ideal for a refreshing dip at one of its amazing beaches or for drinks with beautiful views.
For those who are looking for more action, in Pollensa there are different activities to do, such as the ‘Puig de María’ excursion. You can also visit the Colomer viewpoint or the famous Formentor lighthouse.
